Rewearing my Bridesmaid Dress

Last week, I shared my experience of being my sister’s maid of honor! This week, I am showing how I will rewear my bridesmaid dress.

My sister was a cool bride, which made my job as maid of honor really fun. She decided she wanted to do all green bridesmaid dresses in various styles, and I got the chance to help her choose the dresses. She wanted the dresses to be cute, but casual so that her bridesmaids could wear them again. I think she really nailed it! I loved my dress glammed up with heels and a pearl bracelet (thanks Mariah!) for the wedding day, but I also love that I can easily rewear it for a casual class look!

First Look

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

dress    denim jacket (if not the exact same, it is super similar!)   neckerchief (similar, mine is from Old Navy last year!)

This look would be perfect for a Saturday afternoon shopping date, or Sunday morning church service! I love how the neckerchief in my hair plays up the feminine ruffle on the dress. I paired it with some basic brown sandals (not pictured), but I think it would be really cute with espadrilles, a wedge, or even some pastel sneakers! This outfit is great for a spring weekend.

Second Look

Processed with VSCO with m5 preset

same dress & jacket. white converse. old hat from My Kind of Lovely. borrowed sunglasses from friend.

I would like to start off by addressing that I did not dye my hair red for this photo, I just got blessed by the golden hour sun. Honestly, I am kinda digging it! Anyways, back to the outfit. I love how switching out some accessories and the shoes from the first look really change the entire outfit. This is an outfit I would wear to class, on a grocery store run, or to go grab brunch.

I am so thankful that my sister was such a cool and understanding bride. I love that not only was this dress affordable, but I will actually be able to wear it again and again. It looked great at the wedding, and it will fit in great at my 8 a.m. business class!

Special thanks to my gal pal Angelique for these pictures & for loaning me her shades!
