My sister, Mariah, got married last weekend. It was the perfect day and the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to (I am just a tiny bit biased though).
My sister asked me to be her Maid of Honor and of course I said yes! Being Maid of Honor was so much fun, but I did have to put in some work.. Let’s be honest, the work was pretty fun too!
As my sister’s MOH I helped her pick out her beautiful wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, planned her bachelorette party, went with the bride and groom to check out the venue, pinned ideas to a shared wedding board, and helped her choose the hair stylist and makeup artist.
See? Most fun “work” ever!

This was the first time I had ever been Maid of Honor, or even been in a wedding. If you get asked to be Maid of Honor for the first time, I have some advice for you: call the bride often to ask if there is anything you can be doing. Usually the answer would be no, but when the answer was yes it would be something super minor and easy to do. It just takes a task off the bride’s hands! I would also recommend bringing extra deodorant, scissors, and bobby pins to the wedding. Someone will need them!
I loved being my sister’s Maid of Honor. She is my best friend, and it was so much fun to be with her throughout the wedding planning and be by her side on her big day. Her wedding was beautiful, but I know her marriage is going to be even better. Congrats Mariah & Brandon! ❤
