Who else is filling their new found free time with all the TV they’ve been wanting to watch but haven’t had time yet? 🙋🏻♀️
You’re not in this alone. TV has always been a comfort activity for me and in this time of anxiety and stress it’s my favorite way to decompress and forget about the scary things going on. You already know this is an especially scary time, and I have been burning up the bulbs in these LED TVs.
1. Sex and The City
This was one of the very first shows I started watching in quarantine. Can you believe I have never watched it?! I’ve seen an episode here or there, but I’m finally sitting down and watching the whole thing. I haven’t finished yet, but I do love it. It combines two of my favorite things: fashion & NYC. You can watch Sex and The City on Amazon Prime Video.
2. Little Fires Everywhere
Oh my goodness. Where to begin? I absolutely loved this one. Reese Witherspoon is one of my favorite actresses and I loved seeing her in this role. Kerry Washington played her part perfectly and the acting from every character was amazing. The storyline was great, and I’m really wishing I had read the book first! You can watch Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu.
3. Outer Banks
If you haven’t watched the Outer Banks yet, what are you waiting for? This show was so unexpected and so good. This was one show where I couldn’t wait to watch the next episode no matter how tired I was. I love the Pogues so much! It made me really excited for the day it’s safe to go to the beach again! I think the next trip I take should be to the Outer Banks. You can watch the Outer Banks on Netflix.
4. Never Have I Ever
I truly believe everything Mindy Kaling creates is amazing, and this is no exception. I loved it so much and it’s such a quick watch I’ve already seen it twice! This was great for some comedic relief amongst the heavier shows I’ve been watching, but it still addresses really serious topics like grief and friendship. I can’t wait for season two! You can watch Never Have I Ever on Netflix.
5. Big Little Lies
I know I am late to the party on this one, but wow. This show was so good and probably my favorite I have watched so far. In season one I would watch an episode and think, “I don’t really get what is going to happen yet, but everything is so intense.” It was a bit stressful, but so good. I highly recommend. Again, I loved seeing Reese Witherspoon in this role and I wish I had read the book first. Ed is the best character – just saying. You can watch Big Little Lies on Hulu.
6. Dead to Me
I watched Dead to Me season one when it first came out, but I’ve been rewatching it to prepare for season two which came out yesterday. I will be starting season two today and I’m really excited (and nervous)! You can watch Dead to Me on Netflix.
That is everything I have been watching in Quarantine so far. If I had to choose a favorite, I would have to give it to Big Little Lies with Outer Banks coming in super close at #2. What is everyone else watching right now and what should I watch next?
Please continue to stay home, stay safe, and check on your loved ones during this stressful time. Let’s continue to flatten the curve!
