If you grow up in the south you grow up in your church house every single Sunday.. And most other days that the church door is open. I still remember my favorite childhood outfit. It was a red Minnie Mouse dress with a tulle skirt and I ALWAYS wore my cowboy boots with it. Of course, my cowboy boots were red. I was styling and profiling at age 7. Today for church I gave that outfit inspiration a grown up spin. This black lace dress from target is one of the most comfy dresses I’ve ever worn. I’ll probably stay in it all day. I tried it on and got so excited walked out of the dressing room to show my sister and she was trying on the same one in maroon (they had blue too and all were so cute). We had to get them. They were only $30 at target {steals forever}. I paired it with my black cowboy boots and some black hoops. The outfit was as fun and loud to bring me back to my youth but simple enough to fit right in at church. This def won’t be the last time I put this look together

Bangles and tornado warnings
i don’t know what the weather is like where you live, but I do know what it’s like where I live.. And it’s the worst. Storm after storm day after day. I’m losing my tan! After a day of tornado warnings (and a month of thunderstorms) it was so nice to go out to town. Bourbon & Bowties teamed up with Moon&Lola and are touring with the cutest airstream ever. They had their launch party at America’s Mart in Atlanta this weekend, but their first stop on their tour was in my hometown. {Lucky me!} here are the A D O R A B L E bangles I snagged. I’m obsessed 😍
Summer reading
Tuesday Morning
I didn’t have to wake up early this morning but the sound of a thunderstorm woke me up anyways. So I did what we all would do.. Try and go back to sleep. It didn’t work, so I turned on Netflix and flipped it to the holy grail aka gossip girl. While I was at it, I decided to go ahead and work on my nails for the upcoming long weekend. Doing a little sparkly look, as if my sparklers on the 4th won’t be enough 💋
Make-Up Your Mind
I am such a die hard bare minerals girl, I am signed up with a monthly shipment. It comes with the matte powder foundation, blemish therapy, flawless definition macada, concelar, and a random test me item. I’m ALLLLLL about their foundation. I love how easy it goes on and how smooth it leaves my skin, but when a friend suggested I try Mary Kay’s CC cream for summer I thought, “why not?”. I’m soo glad I did. I wore it for the first time today and it left my skin feeling smooth and moisturized. I was glowing. I definitely recommend this for a light summer foundation. My test item in my bare minerals shipment this month was the 5 in 1 eye primer. It even makes my drugstore eyeshadow last all day long. I’m obsessed. I will definitely have to add this one to my monthly shipment
